Can Your Will Cover Future Assets

Your Will can expressly be stated to include assets acquired in the future

Can your will cover future assets

There are many ways of structuring your Will.

Some people specifically itemise each of their assets in their Will, which beneficiary such assets should go to, and the respective proportions.

If you structure your Will this way, then the issue of what happens to future assets (e.g. new bank accoutns or properties) becomes apparent.

You can choose to make a new Will each time you acquire a big asset or you can simply include a clause in the Will that will specifically include all future assets
